“We visited here during a date day in Indianapolis. Overall was a great experience and lots of fun. Paid $20 for half hour of bowling. We managed to get 2 games played during that time. This bowling alley is in the basement relative to the main floor where you enter. Street parking was free. Actual bowling was harder than regular bowling in my experience. Make sure to wash your hands when you are done as the balls get”

“Felt like you walked thru a time warp. Such a fun place. We had the Jalapeno Poppers and they were pretty good. Will definitely go back. Cute place for couples and families!”

“When I first heard of the vintage game duckpin bowling, I thought: What the heck is that? I was intrigued after seeing it on David Lettermanu2018s program u201cMy Next Guest.u201d He was in Indianapolis to interview basketball star Caitlin Clark. It just so happened that my wife and I were going through Indianapolis on our way from Florida to Illinois. So we had to try it. Action Bowling is like stepping back into time. The 1930”

“First, to be clear, there are two duckpin venues in this building. Atomic Bowl Duckpin is in the basement, Action Duckpin Bowl is on the fourth floor. A lot of the pics on Yelp and other sites gets these confused and crossed. If you see pics with windowns and pool tables, that is Action Duckpin Bowl. If you see lots of teal green, 1950's vibes, it's Atomic Bowl Duckpin. That's where we visited (Action Bowl was closed”

“Itu2019s fun, but the lanes werenu2019t level. The building is super old and everything has been left untouched to keep the vintage feel. It even has an old cigarette dispenser. I think they could manage to update or clean the bathrooms though. It is helpful to make reservations. Also, plan to arrive a little early to find parking and have time to walk there.”

“We loved this place! It's a very vintage, well worn establishment that wears it's history proudly. A very reasonable price for an hour of great fun with a group. Friendly staff, great drinks, and good bar food.”

“You must try this fun old-style bowling! If you are good at bowling, you may be frustrated. If you have rarely bowled before, you will be on equal standing:) You get to use the actual historic lanes from the 1930's. No need to change your shoes, or lift heavy bowling balls. Just hold the ball in the palm of your hand and take three chances to knock as many pins down as you can. Reasonable prices for a fun 30 minutes ”

“A really cool little place. You can go upstairs and Bowl and have some really great pizza. And you can rent a pool table which is always fun. And then you can go downstairs for a 50s type feel. Really cool neon lights and all in all really cool place to check out if you're ever in the area.A really cool little place. You can go upstairs and Bowl and have some really great pizza.
