“This is such an enjoyable way to spend some time. I come out here a few times a week and drive around the park. Always see the Bison, and we saw lots of baby bison this past calving season. Always see hawks and eagles, mule deer, white tail deer, coyote, song birds, prarie dogs, and even wild turkeys! Great location for bird watching. Lots of trails to enjoy.”

“Beautiful loop walk. Shade in patches but there's some stretches of bright sun; it might be too hot for Summer, but perfect for Fall and Spring! Lots of benches along the way, well maintained trails, negligible elevation changes. And since no dogs are allowed in the refuge, it was blessedly quiet on the trails!”
