“I visited for the first time today to get some blades remounted. Fran is so fantastic and very caring towards your needs :) . I purchased my blades online but I wish I had just called to see what he had in stock. Definitely will be returning when I eventually need a boot and blade upgrade. There looks like a great skating community, too, so sad I live too far away to be able yo go more often.”

“Do NOT buy your skates here. We were totally sized wrong (way too small - maybe that is how they make their $$$). Fran (old dude) who said he has 40 years experience needs to retire or get retrained. He is arrogant and rude.”

“I learned to skate at a covered, but still outdoor rink. The Philadelphia Skating Club is fully covered (indoor) rink with ample parking. I appreciate the environmental protection. We were there to observe a student exhibition that was very well done. I was reminded about Dick Button and Scotty Hamilton, both trained here and were also Olympic Champions.”

“The first ice skating club in the states, they have a single sheet of ice and set of changing rooms, no hockey marks, no walls, just a small area on each side for the judges or spectators.”

“Beautiful, old rink, reminds me of the old Skating Club of Boston rink. The skaters, coaches, and rink staff were very nice and helpful. (I was visiting the area for a skating competition.) Good place to go for some extra practice time!”

“Beautiful rink, and a fantastic owner! Fran is a freakinu2019 magic man. I was referred to him by my coach at a different rink after a local pro shop sharpened my figure skates like hockey skates and it affected my performance for quite a while. I called, spoke to Fran, and he got me in for an appointment to fix my blades right away. Even brought my coaches skates along, and he took care of them. Once mine were done, he ”
