“Lake Cunningham Regional Park has an incredible amount of potential. It is genuinely a very nice park in terms of concept, size, and location. It is easy to imagine this place as one of the best public parks in Silicon Valley. Unfortunately, it clearly feels neglected and underfunded. Many areas are not well maintained, infrastructure is broken or worn out, and some parts look like they have been ignored for years. I”

“Beautiful lake with nice trails, though not all of them were open.”

“This is a large piece of green space, which is always a great resource for surrounding communities. There are picnic areas, an outdoor exercise area, restrooms, plenty of geese and ducks. Primarily the park serves as a spot for my runs, and generally it deserves a 4 u2b50 rating, but today I'm giving 3 u2b50 because a huge picnic area is flooded. See photos.”

There are mostly nice trails surrounding the lake and other picnic areas and fields. However, some of the trail is closed and all of the piers are blockaded. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is that the lake itself is off limits. When I was there, on a Su”

“Unsure why there is a gate blocking off on route access the small bridge but completely open and accessible from the other side of the park, the bridge is not deemed unsafe at least no signage. There is a chained off area in front of a slope going into the lake that is down, could be a hazard for small children. City parks and recreational teams could do an better job on maintaining basics but would probably use the ”

“Recommend Lake Cunningham Regional Park. The park is large and has several parking lots. Next to the parking lot is the restroom, a large lake, and a large bike track area (several tracks with different levels). It's easy for consuming time here with kids. You need to buy a ticket for Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park. Just Google it and there is a parking lot next to it. You pay $6 for parking on the self-pay machi”
