Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, has revealed that star striker Harry Kane is feeling discontent with the current state of the club as they struggle with poor results.

Kane had a remarkable first season at Bayern, scoring 24 goals in 21 Bundesliga matches. However, he has failed to score in the team’s recent matches against Bayern Leverkusen and Lazio. These defeats have left Tuchel’s side trailing by five points in the German top division table, emphasizing the need for a strong performance in the upcoming Champions League second leg to secure a spot in the quarter-finals. Tuchel acknowledged Kane’s dissatisfaction with his teammates’ performance and stressed the importance of better service to the English striker.

Speaking to reporters, Tuchel expressed, “Harry is on his own. He doesn’t need me. He is not satisfied with the connection during matches, and neither are we. The disparity between his training performance and match performance is concerning. His ability to score in training is exceptional, but we struggle to see the same level of performance in games. He exhibits leadership qualities and is a vital player for us.”

Kane’s Discontent and PSG’s Search for a Striker

Prior to the Lazio game, Tuchel and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer urged Bayern to provide better support to Kane, but the striker faced difficulties in a 1-0 defeat. Despite the setbacks, Tuchel remains optimistic about the team’s ability to bounce back, stating, “The current situation is challenging, and there is a sense of disappointment among the team. However, we are not out of the Champions League yet, and we are determined to reverse our fortunes. Our focus is on intense training sessions to regain the momentum needed.”

Bayern will look to rejuvenate their form against Bochum on Sunday, aiming to close the gap on the league leaders. Tuchel’s side draws confidence from their previous 7-0 victory over Bochum in September, where Kane netted a hat-trick. Notably, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is in search of a striker to replace Kylian Mbappé and has previously shown interest in Kane.
