“Don't come here with your bike/scooter and don't lock it outside. They are the most careless. Even they have installed multiple cctv camera outside the door, I asked them if they can check my lost e-scooter (just outside of the door) but they told me they don't monitor anything outside or inside the campus. They didn't explain anything. This is ridiculous, and the matter of utmost irresponsibility. Date: Oct 14 2025 ”

“DONu2019T COME HERE if youu2019re coming for the dance rooms. Staff told me I had to rent and pay for the room every time, even as a student who comes alone. Whatu2019s the point of paying for a >$50 membership if I canu2019t use the only facility I paid for? Makes no sense to me. I bought the membership ONLY for the dance room and to be told this news is extremely upsetting. Iu2019ve been here multiple times by myself now and Iu2019ve neve”

“I pay tuition to go here and the staff told me while I could use one of the fitness rooms I was not allowed to use the equipment (dumbbells, exercise balls, etc) I asked why, theyu2019re there for a reason, and they said u201citu2019s policyu201d”

“UIC Sports & Fitness Center is hands down one of the best gyms Iu2019ve ever used. Itu2019s got everything you could ask for: top-tier equipment, a running track, racquetball courts, and even a pool. Iu2019ve been using it for a few months now, and it's been well worth the membership fee (around $25/month for students). The staff is super chill, and the space is always clean and not overcrowded. I can get in a solid workout with”

“Great facility. Tons of machines, swimming pool and sauna. Racket ball court, basketball court, ping Pong room and they have special 360 functional workout room. They have several workout dance yoga cycling rooms too. This blow away many of the chain gyms”

“If you are looking for a local gym with pool keep looking. It was closed a significant part of last year for staffing issues. It has been closed for the last 4 weeks for maintenance of a filtration system and announced to be opened today, December 16th. I was told this morning it is still closed and scheduled to open on December 26th, a day the SFC is closed. Itu2019s a very unreliable fitness center.”

“As a UIC student, I come to the gym six times a week, and Iu2019ve met many people here who, like me, love going to the gym. Overall, we like this gym, especially with all the recent equipment upgrades. However, I have a few suggestions to make the gym even better: 1. Increase the number of incline benches: Right now, the gym only has one incline bench, and people often have to wait a long time to use it. 2. Add more cab”

“Has equipment and good to get a good workout but so is planet fitness. East campus gym is slightly better for advanced lifts or power lifting. As a student with limited gym options and finances this place gets the job done though. Am curious why we canu2019t use middle knurling powerlifting bars on squat rack. Feels unsafe with respect to bar type, thickness and bend to the bar after a certain weight. But maybe there is ”
