What visitors are saying

“Go Illinois Tech basketball!! A nice venue to watch Division Three NCAA College Basketball. Great staff and management work well together. The restrooms are very clean and sanitary with plenty of soap and hot water. Short walk from the Green Line Train station. The players have a wonderful love for the game and play hard with an exciting up temple offense. Great competitive schedule with several Midwestern Universite”

“Using GPS to get there isn't easy. Complex itself is pretty nice but needs updating.”

“The gym is filled up with free weights, lack of equipments, only 2 running machines, no elliptical machine. Even worse than some apartments' gym and can't refund as an IIT student. A really bad experience as student. I would say this is the worst university gym I've ever seen.”

— Luna L. · ★☆☆☆☆

“No one wipes down the machines and the main weight room is constantly full. Edit - still no one likes to use spray bottles but the remodeled upstairs weight room is comfy and I like it better. Anyone in sports get super preferential treatment and are allowed into the building whenever. If I wanna workout before 10 I cant but for some reason the sports kids get to do whatever the heck they want. Its really obnoxious a”

“Before planning to come here, make sure that you are in a sports attire and bring your Hawk ID card or be prepared to buy a guest pass. Gym - Average. Why? It is a bit congested. Indoor stadium - Average. Why? Because, they use same place for Volleyball, Basketball, Futsal and Badminton. Staff - Depends on what time you arrive. Mostly, the staff here is very friendly and helps you in every possible way. Ventilation -”

“I've been to a lot of schools. This is probably the worst gym on campus ever. The structure of building is strange. There are so many doors. However, 99% of them are not available. The real entrance is under ground. No air conditioner!!! There is no AC at all. The wall is built with glasses and there is only one floor. You can't image how hot and stuffy it could be during the afternoon. Not enough equipment. Only 3 o”

“Both the gym and sports complex are good. But this is the only place I have seen throughout Chicago that just needs reason to close down. Most of the days they are closed because of various vague reasons like too hot, too cold, weekends and what not. If you are actually serious about being fit then this place is just not right for you!”

— Trishaan K. · ★☆☆☆☆

“This is IIT's gym. For students, it is free. For alumni, they can still buy a gym memebership at the keating website. The price is okay. 150 bucks for a semester. The drawback is their opening time is becoming shorter and shorter a year after a year. And during the summer time, they don't even open on weekends. This can turn down some potential customers.”
