SkyFam Paragliding/Hangliding Launch

SkyFam Paragliding/Hangliding Launch is a takeoff site for paragliding and hang gliding near Martin City, Montana. Situated in a high-elevation area, it serves as a designated launch point for pilots seeking to harness the region’s steady winds and scenic views. The site is accessible by vehicle, with a paved or gravel approach leading to the launch area, though exact terrain details may vary by season.

The club supports two forms of free-flight aviation: paragliding and hang gliding, both of which require prior training and equipment. While no specific operating hours are listed, launch conditions depend on wind and weather, typically favoring mornings. Visitors should confirm current conditions and site availability before arriving, as unannounced access may be restricted. The area has received high ratings from a small number of reviewers, suggesting reliability for experienced pilots.

For those planning to use the site, contacting local pilot groups or the Montana Paragliding Association for updates is recommended. Pilots should bring their own gear, as no rentals or facilities are advertised. Arrive early to assess wind direction and avoid interfering with active launches. The site lacks amenities, so self-sufficiency is necessary.
