Russell Westbrook returned to play for the LA Clippers on Monday against the Indiana Pacers, only three weeks after undergoing surgery on his left hand for a fracture.

Ty Lue, coach of the Clippers, mentioned that Westbrook, who joined the game in the first quarter, would not have a limit on his playing time. Westbrook injured his non-dribbling hand on March 1 against the Washington Wizards and received surgery on March 4.

The Clippers recorded a record of 28-8 from the time he first subbed in against the Houston Rockets on Nov. 17 until he sustained a hand injury.

Harden expressed his excitement for Westbrook’s return to the Clippers. He sees Westbrook as a veteran and leader on the court who shares the same goal of winning the championship.Ohm Youngmisuk, ESPN Staff WriterMar 25, 2024, 09:36 PM ETWestbrook is averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 58 games. He started the first 10 games of the season but made the move to come off the bench to help the Clippers mesh better after the James Harden trade.
