Washington Commanders: A New Era of Improvement
When the NFL Players Association released its report cards for each NFL team, the Washington Commanders found themselves at the bottom of the list. The team received F-minuses in various areas, including the treatment of families, locker room, and training room.
However, Commanders owner Josh Harris, who acquired the team from Dan Snyder last year, is determined to turn things around. In response to the poor grades, Harris stated, “I’m not an F-minus guy.” He expressed surprise at the low rating and emphasized that the report was based on interviews conducted during the ownership transition.
Harris acknowledged the need for significant improvements in the team’s locker room and training facilities. General Manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn are actively involved in spearheading these offseason projects. Harris highlighted the importance of creating a positive environment for both players and coaches, stating, “We want to be a place that everyone says, ‘That’s a great place to be.’“
Plans are in place to upgrade various aspects of the team, including the playing surface. While Harris admitted uncertainty about the timeline for these changes, he emphasized the team’s commitment to progress. “There’s only so much you can do,” Harris noted. “We have to look at, How much can we do?”
Addressing the challenges left behind by Snyder, Harris acknowledged the difficulty of the task but emphasized its significance. “Cleaning up the mess that Snyder left behind won’t be an easy job, but Harris knows it’s an important job,” the article concluded.
