Ham emphasized the importance of comprehending one’s failures. He stated that simply discarding a plan and changing direction is not enough when faced with failure. Instead, one must analyze the reasons behind the outcome.
Ham believed that Davis’ remarks were made impulsively and stood up for his team of coaches.
Ham explained that he believes frustration may arise when plays do not go according to plan, but he does not attribute this to lack of organization on the part of his coaching staff. He has a highly skilled and organized team, whether it be during practices, film sessions, or games. He acknowledges that emotions can run high in this type of competitive environment, especially given the disappointing end to the game.
However, it is crucial for the Lakers to demonstrate their ability to maintain a lead over Denver as the fourth quarter winds down and the final result is determined.
