According to Daniels, that young man is like a dog in the sense that he is a devoted receiver. He has confidence in his abilities and is highly competitive. If he doesn’t think a defensive back can keep up with him, he’ll make it known. And when he catches a ball and makes a successful play, he doesn’t hesitate to celebrate.
“He’s comparable to Ja’Marr [Chase], in terms of their explosiveness.”
“I would not be truthful if I stated that I did not strive to surpass him,” stated Daniels. “His accomplishments were unprecedented, so I am not attempting to measure up to him. However, as we are both from the same region, I aspire to outshine him.”

Daniels and Nabers are currently engaged in a bet to determine the winner of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The bet was initially brought up by Nabers during their appearance on “The Pivot” podcast with Ryan Clark. During an interview on the “All Facts No Brakes” podcast with Keyshawn Johnson on Wednesday, Daniels confirmed the wager. However, it is possible that the bet may not last very long.And Daniels’ focus, more than on a friendly bet, will be on topping his friend C.J. Stroud, who won Offensive Rookie of the Year with the Houston Texans. Stroud threw for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions last season. Both Daniels and Stroud grew up in California.
Jayden Daniels, the quarterback, was selected four spots before his former teammate Malik Nabers in the draft. He is hoping to outperform Nabers and earn the title of Offensive Rookie of the Year in the NFL. If he doesn’t, he may have to pay ,000.
Daniel also acknowledged that the amount was when questioned by Johnson following Nabers’ statement of “whoever loses has to pay, I believe it’s ,000 in cash.”
