The Unlikely Encounter: Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce, and Randi Mahomes
Donna Kelce and Randi Mahomes wanted to capture the moment their sons—Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes—won Super Bowl LVIII, and while they snapped the celebratory pic, they captured more than they bargained for as Taylor Swift stood unknowingly in the background.
The set of Super Bowl moms were all smiles and decked out in Chiefs gear in the new pic, but whether they knew it or not, the pop superstar dating Donna’s son also appeared in the frame. Though Swift was clearly caught off guard by the pic, the portion of her face that was visible appeared to be elated with excitement.
“Super Bowl Champs!! Back to back,” Randi captioned the photo originally shared via her Instagram Story on Sunday, Feb. 11.
It didn’t take long for the adorable picture to go viral and get reposted to fan accounts across social media—including one dedicated to the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Proud moms!” read one top-liked comment.
Celebrating Motherhood and Success
“Two awesome mothers of two awesome football players….” another cheered. “So happy for you two…”
A third celebrated not only the moms but their sons and their choice of WAGs, writing, “These two deserve so much credit. The men they raised are the best example of how all men should behave. Thanks Moms. And their sons’ choices of Women show they learned a lot from their moms about what kind of person to look for.”
While Swift, 34, is known for her award-winning music career, she’s earned a reputation for treating others well and with kindness. As for the Chiefs quarterback’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, she’s also on the fast track to success after making a show-stopping debut as one of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2024 rookies.
