Kyle Allen Joins Steelers as Third Quarterback

At 28 years old, Kyle Allen becomes the third quarterback on the Steelers’ roster, behind Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Allen spent the 2023 season with the Buffalo Bills after stints with the Carolina Panthers, Washington, and the Houston Texans.

Undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, Allen has played in 30 career games with 19 starts, completing 441-of-704 passes for 4,734 yards and 26 touchdowns. He provides valuable depth at the quarterback position for the Steelers.

Dean Lowry Adds Experience to Steelers’ Defensive Line

Dean Lowry, who recently turned 30, was released by the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Steelers. A fourth-round pick of the Packers in 2016, Lowry has appeared in 120 career games with 84 starts, recording 266 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, and 15.5 sacks.

Lowry’s versatility and experience make him a valuable addition to the Steelers’ defensive line, joining a group that includes Cameron Heyward, Larry Ogunjobi, Keeanu Benton, and Montravius Adams.

Lowry’s best season came in 2021 with the Packers when he recorded 5.0 sacks. Despite a season-ending injury in 2023, Lowry’s experience and skill make him a valuable asset for the Steelers.
