“I purchased Bauer 3S-Pro skates at another hockey shop (Pure Hockey - Nice people). Rather expensive ($700) skates, and one of the eyelets failed and started shredding laces. I took it back to original shop to fix it, but they installed an eyelet that pinched the lace. Original shop told me to go try a boot shop to fix the skate, which didn't make me happy.
