Allen Robinson: A New Beginning with the New York Giants

After a tumultuous season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Allen Robinson has found a new home in the NFL. The New York Giants announced the signing of the former star receiver on Thursday, marking a fresh start for the talented player.

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed yet, but Robinson joins a group of receivers that includes Malik Nabers, the 6th overall pick in the last draft. The Giants are also in negotiations with Darius Slayton for a contract restructuring, solidifying their receiving corps for the upcoming season.

Last season, the Giants struggled in passing, finishing 31st in the NFL. None of their receivers managed to surpass 770 yards, highlighting the need for a playmaker like Robinson.

At 30 years old, Robinson is eager to put his disappointing season in Pittsburgh behind him. With only 280 yards in 17 games as a starter, he is determined to showcase his skills and make an impact with his new team. His last touchdown came during the 2022 season with the Rams, and he is hungry for more success.

Originally a second-round pick of the Jaguars in 2014, Robinson enjoyed a stellar season in 2015, amassing 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl nod. He continued his success with the Chicago Bears, recording two seasons with over 1,000 yards.

However, injuries have plagued Robinson since 2021, limiting his production to a mere 410 yards in a season. Despite the setbacks, he remains determined to prove his worth and contribute to the Giants’ offense.
