However, the game on Saturday was not a close one. Towson had a significant lead of 9-3 at halftime and extended it to 14-4 after three quarters. The Blue Hens only managed to score one goal in the first 16 minutes of the second half, while Towson scored four consecutive goals in the final four minutes of the third quarter, resulting in a blowout win.

Maurer scored another goal against midfielder Reed Kurtz, this time on a quick move near the goal, two minutes after their last encounter. John McCurry of Delaware finally got a goal for the team with 3:26 left, but Alex Vieni of the Tigers ended the period with a low shot that bounced into the goal with 12 seconds left.

Bode Maurer, the junior attackman for the Tigers, scored four goals, followed by three goals each from Chop Gallagher (attackman) and Mikey Weisshaar (midfielder from Archbishop Spalding). Senior midfielder Nick DeMaio (from Maryland) contributed with six assists.

Towson has secured its ninth consecutive win, earning its ninth CAA Tournament championship and first one since 2019.
