The Chiefs struggled to score against the 49ers defense in the game, particularly when they reached the red zone on their first drive. Despite their efforts, the Niners were able to prevent a touchdown and held them to a field goal by Harrison Butker, bringing the score to 7-3. Fred Warner came close to intercepting Mahomes in the end zone on second down.
However, there is a distinction between the previous simulation and this most recent one, which I believe could be considered the official Super Bowl simulation. In the initial simulation, Kansas City emerged as the winner of the Lombardi Trophy at the conclusion of the entire year. However, in this latest simulation, the San Francisco 49ers come out on top in a 10-6 showdown in Las Vegas.

The two drives consumed most of the time in the first half, but San Francisco managed to run a two-minute drill before halftime, resulting in a 38-yard field goal by Jake Moody to give them a 10-3 lead at the break.

Following a quarterback kneel by Purdy, the San Francisco 49ers emerged victorious in Super Bowl LVIII with a final score of 10-6.

At the start of the game, the Niners gained possession of the ball and advanced towards the end zone. Quarterback Brock Purdy threw a pass to wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, resulting in an 18-yard touchdown. This was the only instance in the game where either team scored a touchdown.

Next, Dre Greenlaw deflected a pass before it reached the goal-line, resulting in a field goal attempt.

With only 1:43 left in the game, and no breaks, the Cheifs were down by four points but still had a chance to win the championship with a touchdown. Mahomes and the offense received the ball at their own 23-yard line, but this time, it wasn’t one of his usual impressive performances. Despite his previous successes in similar situations, Chase Young, who joined the team mid-season, made a crucial sack on third-and-20, allowing the clock to continue running.

In the third quarter, the Chiefs gained possession and appeared to have a chance to tie the game at 10-10. They swiftly advanced into 49ers’ territory, but were unable to score, resulting in a 49-yard field goal by Butker. With the score now at 10-6, Kansas City was in desperate need of a defensive stop. It seemed like they might get it when the 49ers faced a third-and-10 situation, but Purdy made a crucial throw to Kittle for a 30-yard gain.

In what seems like a mere moment, we have reached Super Bowl 58. The excitement for this highly-anticipated matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas is growing to unprecedented heights. The Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, are aiming for their third title in the past five years, while the 49ers are seeking redemption against K.C. for their defeat in Super Bowl 54 and their first championship victory since 1994.

the simulations have been eerily accurate

While we wait for the game to start, let’s satisfy our football cravings by immersing ourselves in CBS Sports’ yearly simulation of the Super Bowl on Madden NFL 24. If you’ve been following us for the past few years, you know that these simulations should not be underestimated. In fact, they have proven to be surprisingly precise in the last three Super Bowls.

This simulation is a flawless 3-0.

After all was said and done, I chose the Chiefs, Rams, and Buccaneers.

Mahomes attempted a long pass down the right side, but it was intercepted by his former teammate from the Chiefs, Charvarius Ward, who currently plays for the 49ers. This secured the win for San Francisco and earned Ward the title of Super Bowl MVP. analyzed our data

During the summer, we also carried out and evaluated our data.

For the first time ever, a simulation has been run for the full 2023 season.

Although some unexpected events did not happen as predicted (the Panthers making it to the playoffs?!?), the simulation accurately predicted a few things. This included the Packers defeating the Cowboys in the playoffs, the Eagles being eliminated after just one game in the postseason, and the Chiefs making it to the Super Bowl.

The reception aided San Francisco in using up the remaining time in the quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter, a failed 57-yard field goal attempt by Jake Moody left the Niners with only a four-point lead. The Chiefs were unable to take advantage of this mistake and had a three-and-out on their next possession. San Francisco’s subsequent drive forced Andy Reid to use all of his timeouts, but his defense was able to make a stop and give the Chiefs a chance to win.
