Bledsoe mentioned that Belichick and Kraft briefly met for at least 10 minutes. However, the ex-Patriots quarterback concurred with Edelman’s observation that there was significant tension in the room.

According to Edelman and Bledsoe, they were both with Belichick in the room designated for guests, along with ex-Patriots standouts Rob Gronkowski and Randy Moss, when Kraft entered.

After playfully mentioning the event as a gathering and remarking “unlike most family gatherings, there are certain individuals I am actively avoiding,” Kraft commended Belichick for their shared achievements.

“Kraft entered the room while Belichick was sharing a story and seemed to be in charge. As soon as he arrived, everyone went over to greet him.”

  • Edelman attempted to inform Belichick in advance when he noticed Kraft entering the green room, but Belichick did not catch the subtle hint.

“I was caught off guard when [Kraft] entered and thought, ‘Uh oh, there might be some drama.’ I chose to distance myself and not get involved in the situation.”

The Falcons met with Belichick twice in the offseason to discuss their open head coaching role, but ultimately chose to hire Raheem Morris.

On Sunday, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft had a prominent presence in what seemed to be a joyous reunion during the live roast of Tom Brady.

However, two former players who were present at the roast claim that the ex-coach of the New England Patriots and the long-standing team owner also encountered some uncomfortable situations behind the scenes.1 Related

During the most recent installment of his podcast “Games with Names,” Julian Edelman and Drew Bledsoe chatted about a three-hour roast and shared details about the atmosphere in the green room prior to the event.

According to a source, a report by ESPN released last month outlined Belichick’s exit from the Patriots and his unsuccessful pursuit of the head coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons. The source also revealed that Kraft contacted Falcons owner Arthur Blank to caution him against putting his trust in Bill.

“The atmosphere in that room was intense, it was sharp enough to cut through glass,” stated Edelman.

“Before the show, we were in the pre-performance room, do you remember that? Were you there?” Edelman inquired of Bledsoe. “Bill is leading the conversation, sharing entertaining anecdotes, reminiscing about rookie performances, and overall, having an enjoyable time. We all know Bill’s usual antics, but it seemed like he was extra lively because he was thrilled to see you both, now that he no longer has a job.”

Kraft stated that in his opinion, this coach is the best in the game’s history and has achieved what no one else has. He also expresses his admiration for having both Tom Brady and this coach, seeing it as a great privilege from a higher power.
