According to crew chief Mitchell Ervin, Green was given the second technical for using profanity and verbally attacking a game official after an extended rant. Ervin stated that Green’s previous behavior did not factor into the decision to give him two technicals.
“We require his presence. He is aware of this, as are we all,” stated Curry in regards to Green. “Therefore, whatever measures need to be taken in order to ensure he remains on the court and ready to play must be taken. This is especially crucial at this stage in the season. The start of the game was difficult, but we must persevere.”
Kerr stated that getting ejected on Wednesday did not affect his perspective on the progress that Green has shown since his suspension. Curry also affirmed this, stating that the team will move on from the situation quickly. He mentioned that he talked to Green after the game, as he has consistently done throughout the season and their 12-year partnership, emphasizing the importance of controlling his emotions.
During Wednesday’s game, Curry, who is normally composed on the court, ended with the same level of emotion that he had at the beginning.

As Green exited the court on Wednesday night, Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed his dissatisfaction with the referees. During the following timeout, Curry anxiously walked back and forth while showing his disapproval. Cameras captured him displaying strong emotions as he covered his face with his jersey.
Green was removed from the game in the first four minutes of the Warriors’ 101-93 victory against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
