The Power of Redemption: Blue Jays and Twins Shine in Weekend Games
Humiliated the day before by the Colorado Rockies, the Toronto Blue Jays took their revenge in the first inning of Saturday’s game at Rogers Center, winning 5 to 3.
Daulton Varsho’s grand slam was enough for the local favorites who did not darken the scoresheet during their next seven innings at bat. The outfielder hit the ball thrown right into the heart of the plate by Dakota Hudson for his second home run of the season.
Impressive Performance

His fourth home run of the season is also his third in four games. On April 10, he scored two against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Twins also won the first duel by a score of 11 to 5. Julien, however, did not provoke anything offensively during his three appearances.
It’s in the 12th inning that Minnesota escaped with the game thanks to seven points during this one. Matt Wallner did his part by driving in three runs with a homer during that turn at bat.
