“The 9 11 Memorial Pools in New York City are one of the most moving and meaningful places to visit in Lower Manhattan. Located exactly where the Twin Towers once stood, the memorial consists of two massive square reflecting pools surrounded by bronze panels engraved with the names of nearly three thousand people who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001 and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Each po”

“A very powerful and moving place. The silence, the sound of the water, and the scale of the space create a deep atmosphere of remembrance and respect. Itu2019s a place where you naturally become quiet and reflective. Everything is done with great care and dignity, without unnecessary spectacle. A must-visit to pause, reflect, and truly feel the history of the city and the world.”

“This is a MUST DO if youu2019re a first timer visiting New York City. I visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum twice in December 2021 and in December 2023. It was very solemn and emotional experience for me on the both times that Iu2019ve visited here. I just started to cry: ud83dude2d My First Thought was that I canu2019t even imagine what those people went through in the Twin Towers that horrible day and what their families went through ”

“A deeply moving experience. The memorial has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that immediately encourages reflection and respect. Standing by the reflecting pools, surrounded by the engraved names, was incredibly powerful. Itu2019s a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space that allows visitors to pause, remember, and honor those who lost their lives. Itu2019s an emotional visit, but an important and meaningful one that we will”

“I thought the pools were going to be smaller, but when you see them in person you realize that they are actually very big, and you can hear the intense sound of the waterfalls. The design gives a strong sense of calm and reflection, even though you are in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. The water flows constantly into the center, and it feels like a symbol of memory and continuity. Around the po”

“The pools are where the twin towers once stood. It is a very meaningful and historic place, and you can feel the sombre feeling when there. The names of the victims were engraved around both pools and this means a lot to honor the people who lost their lives on that fateful day. A historic site that is worth a visit. Visiting the Liberty island, Charging Bull and NYSE etc will put you in this area, you can also visit”

“The 9/11 Memorial Pools are one of the most moving places Iu2019ve ever visited. The design is powerful u2014 the water flowing endlessly into the void captures both the loss and resilience tied to that day. The names etched around the pools give a deeply personal reminder of the lives lost, and the atmosphere is calm, reflective, and respectful. Itu2019s not just a memorial, itu2019s an experience that makes you pause, think, and r”

“We only went to the memorial pools, which appear to be accessible 24/7. The south pool was closed for cleaning at the time. The style is simple and classic, a fitting way to pay respect to the tragic event. The water is a healing element, and the falls much quieter than I expected they would be. We saw it both during the day and also lit up at night. The memorial glade and surviving Callery pear tree are very moving ”
