Jacksonville Jaguars: Zay Jones Returns from Injury
JACKSONVILLE – In a much-awaited comeback, Zay Jones, the veteran wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is set to make his return to the field. Jones, who has been sidelined for the past four games due to a knee injury, will be active for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans at EverBank Stadium. The team made the announcement 90 minutes before the 1 p.m. kickoff.
Jones initially suffered the knee injury during a Week 2 defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, he reaggravated the injury during a Week 5 victory over the Buffalo Bills. His absence has been felt by the Jaguars, but his return brings hope for a stronger offensive presence.
The Jaguars’ Inactive Players for Sunday:
- Cornerback Tyson Campbell (hamstring)
- Defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton
- Wide receiver Elijah Cooks
- Offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen
- Outside linebacker Yasir Abdullah
DaVon Hamilton, who missed the first seven games of the season due to a back issue, has recently returned to the field. However, Tyson Campbell, who missed the Week 7 and 8 victories against New Orleans and Pittsburgh, unfortunately reaggravated his hamstring injury in last Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
