Storm sign Veteran guard Erica Wheeler
SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm bolstered their backcourt, signing veteran guard Erica Wheeler. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wheeler brings a wealth of experience to Seattle, having played in 297 regular season games across her WNBA career. The seasoned guard spent the past two seasons with the Indiana Fever, averaging 8.5 points,3.4 assists,and shooting 40.4% from the field.
Wheeler is a meaningful addition for the Storm, known for her playmaking abilities and leadership. Notably, she became the fourth undrafted player in WNBA history to reach 2,500 career points earlier this season. She also achieved the milestone of 1,000 career assists in 2023, joining Becky Hammon as the only undrafted players to reach the milestone.
