Emotional Exchange Between Kelce Brothers Marks Latest NFL Rematch
Jason and Travis Kelce, two prominent NFL players, concluded their latest rematch with a heartfelt interaction. The brothers faced off as the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs played each other for the first time since the 2023 Super Bowl, making it their fourth encounter.
The highly anticipated game took place on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium, with the Chiefs hosting the Eagles. However, this time, the Eagles emerged victorious with a score of 21-17.
Immediately after the game, Jason and Travis found each other on the field, where they shared a brief but emotional moment. They embraced and exchanged laughter before Travis headed to the locker room and Jason continued to greet people on the field.
A Less Emotional On-Field Moment Compared to Super Bowl LVII
This on-field interaction was slightly less emotional than the one they shared after Super Bowl LVII in February. During that historic game, the Chiefs triumphed over the Eagles with a score of 38-35. It was a significant event as it marked the first time siblings on opposing teams competed against each other in the championship. Travis secured his third victory over Jason in their ongoing matchups.
As the clock ran out at the end of the game, the brothers rushed towards each other to share another emotional moment on the field. “Come here,” Jason, 35, said to his teary-eyed brother, Travis, 33, as he embraced him. “Good job, Travis. Congratulations,” he added.
Travis responded, “I love you, big guy,” to which Jason replied, “I love you, too. Good job. Go celebrate.” Despite Travis being at a loss for words, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “I don’t know what to tell you, big guy,” while Jason insisted he should go celebrate. Before Travis got caught up in the celebratory atmosphere, Jason expressed, “I love you… Funnest year of my life.”

This Monday night’s matchup between the Eagles and the Chiefs marked the fifth overall encounter between the two teams with both Kelce brothers on their respective sides. Their first face-off occurred in 2013, although Travis was sidelined due to an injury. They met again in 2017 and 2021, but the most notable encounter was during the 2023 Super Bowl, affectionately dubbed the Kelce Bowl.
During a recent episode of their podcast, “New Heights,” Jason asked Travis if he enjoys playing against him. Travis responded enthusiastically, stating that it’s “fun as hell.” He further expressed his joy in simply being in the NFL alongside his brother and the excitement of sharing the field. Travis emphasized that their games bring their entire family and friends together to witness their matchups, making each game a memorable experience regardless of the final score.
