WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Connor Zilisch, the teenage racing sensation, truly lived up to the expectations in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut on Saturday, securing a victory at the Watkins Glen International road course by effectively managing the fuel levels of his No. 88 car to cross the finish line first.
Zilisch, a racing prodigy from North Carolina who honed his skills in Europe, was born in July 2006. He recently celebrated his 18th birthday, the minimum age required for a license to compete in the Xfinity Series, NASCAR’s equivalent of Triple-A baseball.
