Pittsburgh Steelers Release Final Injury Report Ahead of Week 10 Matchup Against Green Bay Packers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their final injury report ahead of their highly anticipated Week 10 game against the Green Bay Packers, and there is both good news and bad news for the team.

Good News for Steelers

Defensive lineman Cam Heyward, who was limited in practice on Friday due to a groin injury, has been cleared to play on Sunday. This comes as a relief for the Steelers, as Heyward’s presence on the field will greatly bolster their defensive line.

Linebacker Elandon Roberts, who suffered a knee injury earlier in the week, also received positive news. Despite being limited in practice, Roberts is expected to suit up for the game. His role in the matchup is still uncertain, but he is likely to contribute in base and run-heavy packages.

Rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig, who was dealing with a calf injury, has been cleared to play as well. Although he was limited in practice on Friday, Herbig does not have a game status and will be available for Sunday’s game.

Bad News for Steelers

On the downside, free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick has been ruled out of the game due to a hamstring injury. This will be Fitzpatrick’s second consecutive missed game since sustaining the injury in Week Eight against the Jacksonville Jaguars. His absence will be felt in the Steelers’ secondary.

Nose tackle Montravius Adams will also be unavailable for the game after missing practice all week with an ankle injury. His absence will create a void in the defensive line rotation.

Impact on the Game

The Steelers will rely on rookie Keeanu Benton to step up and start in place of Adams. Additionally, Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal will be the starting safeties in Fitzpatrick’s absence. Rookie Darius Rush, who impressed in his NFL debut against the Titans, is expected to continue serving as the team’s dime defender.

Despite the injuries, the Steelers remain optimistic about their chances against the Packers. The game is scheduled to kick off on Sunday at 1 PM/EST at Acrisure Stadium.
