During his last WHL season two years ago, Laroque participated in just four games and underwent rehabilitation for two separate hip surgeries. In the 2023-24 season, he faced more injuries, appearing in only 18 games split between the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda and the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder.
