Reports are circulating once again about a Chelsea board member entering the locker room after a game at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues drew 1-1 with Arsenal on Sunday evening during their latest Premier League match before the current international break.
The match was fiercely contested, with Chelsea more than holding their own against Arsenal. I even commented after the game that Chelsea might have felt a bit disappointed not to secure a win because Arsenal seemed vulnerable.
Ultimately, Chelsea likely wouldn’t have minded the draw, especially considering Arsenal is considered a serious title contender this season.
Eghbali Enters Dressing Room
Eghbali in the Chelsea dressing room again
The language used in this report is rather dramatic, suggesting Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali entered the dressing room angrily after the game. However, I highly doubt that was the case.
Despite that, London World reports that after Sunday’s Arsenal match, Behdad Eghbali entered the dressing room and was one of the last individuals to leave.
He apparently arrived with co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart but remained even after they departed.
Eghbali only exited when almost all Chelsea players, including the manager, had already left the room.
It’s not uncommon to hear about Chelsea owners entering the dressing room post-match. We heard a lot about this last season during Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure as head coach. This season, however, I imagine their visits occur under different circumstances and a more positive atmosphere due to the team’s improved performance.
