PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers ended their 2024 MLS season on Wednesday night, suffering a 5-0 defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Wild Card match held at Providence Park. The team finished the regular season with 47 points (12-11-11), landing in ninth position in the Western Conference.
Timbers in the Postseason
This match marked the eighth postseason appearance in the history of the Portland Timbers (previously in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and now 2024), and it was their first since reaching the MLS Cup Final in 2021.
