Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis superstar, has expressed his gratitude and appreciation for his former agents, Edoardo Artaldi and Elena Cappellaro, after they decided to part ways following more than a decade of successful collaboration.
Artaldi, affectionately known as “Dodi” within the Djokovic camp, had been Djokovic’s chief-of-staff for 23 out of his 24 Grand Slam titles and played a crucial role in his rise to the top of the ATP Rankings. However, Djokovic confirmed in November that they have officially split, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his off-court approach.
In an emotional statement posted on Instagram, Djokovic expressed his deep appreciation for Artaldi and Cappellaro, acknowledging their significant contributions to his career and personal life. He thanked them for their unwavering support, care, and empathy towards his family, emphasizing that their bond goes beyond a professional relationship.
“Together, we created history in tennis and reached incredible heights in this sport. Your vital contribution to my success will always be cherished, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Djokovic wrote.
While Djokovic has not yet officially announced his new agent, he hinted at Mark Madden taking charge of his affairs. Madden, who has been seen alongside Djokovic at various high-profile events, including the All-Star Ryder Cup event in Rome, is rumored to be Djokovic’s business advisor.
As Djokovic embarks on this new chapter, he acknowledges the challenges of the transition but remains optimistic about the future. With his remarkable career achievements and a new team by his side, Djokovic is poised to make significant changes and continue his dominance in the world of tennis.
