A cherished sports landmark in the Bay Area is set to welcome some of the NBA’s top stars once more.
The Chase Center in San Francisco will host the 2025 NBA All-Star Game this season, while the Warriors’ former home, Oakland Arena—previously known as Oracle Arena—will feature a variety of events in the week leading up to the main event on February 16.
The empty arena across the Bay Bridge is scheduled to host the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on February 14, alongside both the NBA All-Star Practice and the NBA HBCU Classic on February 15.
“Our goal is to bring as many events to the Bay Area as we can for All-Star,” stated Kelly Flatow, the NBA’s executive vice president of global events, during a recent NBC Sports Bay Area interview. “Oakland Arena is a fantastic venue for that, so we’re thrilled to be at Chase Center as well as Oakland Arena.”
Additional events, including the Ultimate Fan Experience and several All-Star concerts, will take place at the Moscone Center and Pier 48 in San Francisco on February 14, along with other fan events across the Bay Area.
“The San Francisco Bay Area is a phenomenal destination for our fans, catering to basketball enthusiasts and visitors from around the world who wish to partake in All-Star activities,” Flatow commented. “This is a worldwide celebration of the game, and San Francisco has previously hosted numerous incredible global events, including the NBA Finals. We’re excited to bring the NBA All-Star Game back in 2025, 25 years after it last took place.”
Since moving into their new facility in 2019, the Warriors have seen Chase Center host a plethora of high-profile events, including concerts and sporting competitions. However, All-Star Weekend is poised to highlight the cutting-edge arena and its vicinity even more prominently.
“This is a global celebration of our game, and we expect fans from across the globe to come to the Bay Area and partake in all the festivities,” Flatow remarked. “We are also keen on celebrating our fans in the Bay Area and nationwide. Therefore, it will serve as the epicenter of the basketball world for an entire All-Star week—not just over the weekend.”
