Lewis’s final race as a spotter was a memorable one. At Daytona International Speedway, Parker Retzlaff almost secured victory in one of the season’s most thrilling races. Although his decision to have Retzlaff assist Harrison Burton on the last lap did not culminate in a win for their team, it exemplified the bold and calculated strategies for which Lewis was well-known.
