BROOKLYN, MI – Michael Jordan, the legendary figure from the Chicago Bulls, attended the NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday.
Jordan is a co-owner of 23XI Racing, which competes in the Cup Series with two Toyota cars – No. 23 driven by Bubba Wallace and No. 45 piloted by Tyler Reddick. This week, both drivers carry McDonald’s as their sponsor.
During the race, Jordan was spotted in Wallace’s pit box. The start of the FireKeepers Casino 400 was delayed by over two hours due to rain and was then interrupted again for rain on Lap 51, leading NASCAR to postpone the remaining laps until 11 a.m. Monday.

In a place associated with the rival Detroit Pistons, Jordan witnessed early achievements from both of his drivers. Reddick, who started the race in second, will restart on Monday in fifth.
Wallace will be in second place when the race resumes on Monday. He executed a bold three-wide maneuver to seize the lead on Lap 34 while Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson were racing for the pole position. However, on Lap 37, Hamlin spun out behind Wallace as they exited Turn 4, landing in the infield grass.
While most leaders took the opportunity to pit, a few drivers, including Ryan Blaney, remained on the track, with Blaney ultimately winning Stage 1. Unfortunately, the rain began before Stage 2 commenced.
Established for the 2021 season, 23XI Racing represents a partnership between Jordan and Hamlin.
Wallace secured the first victory for the team in October 2021, although Jordan was not present at that race. He did, however, witness his team’s victory live for the first time in April at Talladega Superspeedway.
It remains unclear if Jordan will return on Monday to watch the conclusion of the race.
