Kristin Cavallari is opening up about her divorce from Jay Cutler just days after the former NFL quarterback was arrested for DUI in Tennessee.
In the latest episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” Cavallari began by briefly addressing her ex-husband’s recent arrest.
“Before we dive into the episode, I wanted to take a moment to mention that this episode was recorded before a very public incident involving my ex-husband occurred last week, so please keep that in mind as you listen,” she stated.

“I won’t be discussing what occurred,” she remarked regarding Cutler’s arrest. “I genuinely wish Jay nothing but the best, and I hope he receives the help he requires. But that’s all I’ll say about it in public.”

On Thursday, the Franklin Police Department announced that Cutler faced charges including DUI (first offense), failure to exercise due care to prevent a collision, implied consent violation, and possession of a handgun while under the influence. He was booked into Williamson County Jail and later released on a $5,000 bond.

Cavallari and Cutler have had a well-known tumultuous relationship, officially finalizing their divorce in 2022 after announcing their separation two years earlier. They have three children together: Camden, aged 12, Jaxon, aged 10, and Saylor, aged 8.
Following her brief mention of Cutler’s DUI on the podcast, Cavallari reflected on the dissolution of their marriage.
“My heart broke during my marriage. Even though I was the one who chose to leave, it wasn’t what I truly wanted. It wasn’t my ideal situation. I genuinely tried everything possible.”

“It’s truly heartbreaking when you desire something intensely, yet feel unable to achieve it,” she expressed. “I would say my heart experienced years of pain during my marriage — it surely did.”

She further explained that she had no intention of speaking ill of her ex. ”I’m not criticizing Jay at all. Honestly, I’m not. I’ve made some comments publicly,” she acknowledged.
“Currently, I don’t discuss him much; however, I will say that we are in the best place we’ve been since the divorce, and it has taken around four years to get here — it’s been 4.5 years since we split.”

“Things are going really well between us now, to the point where we even sat together at one of Camden’s recent basketball games. That makes me incredibly happy because, to be honest, I never thought we would reach that point.”
