With the 2025 NASCAR season on the horizon, the anticipation surrounding⁢ Spire Motorsports’ No. 7 car⁣ is growing, especially with Corey LaJoie’s imminent ⁤exit. The search for his replacement has piqued the interest⁤ of ‍racing veteran Kevin Harvick, who offered his thoughts during an episode‌ of his “Happy Hour” podcast.

Harvick remarked:

“There aren’t many rides available, and‍ I believe the timing of this⁢ caught ⁢everyone by surprise. ⁤With Rodney Childers’ hiring at Spire, they clearly have a plan in⁣ mind, as indicated by the‍ various⁢ hires ⁣they’ve made. The driver⁣ for the No. 7 car is⁤ going to be intriguing‍ because ⁤it seems like it will be someone moving from another seat on the Cup side to fill that role.

“We just have to wait and see how everything⁣ unfolds, but it seems that everyone was taken off guard. Spire is clearly ⁢signaling,⁤ ‘We’re here to win and are willing to ⁣invest in the right people to work on these cars and figure out what it takes to succeed in winning races.’

Justin Haley is‍ currently viewed as the ⁣frontrunner ‍for the No. 7 seat. Having demonstrated strong capabilities this season, alongside a victory ‍at the ⁢2019 Coke ⁢Zero 400, Haley’s potential return⁢ to Spire ⁣Motorsports could signify a refreshing full-circle moment.

Sportswriter Jordan Bianchi, who maintains close⁢ connections within the⁣ circuit, commented as noted by Yardbarker:

“There⁤ are ⁣many factors at play behind the scenes that⁤ are slowly coming to light, but I would say ‌that Justin Haley leads the pack as the top choice. There’s another driver as well, but ‌I’m not comfortable disclosing his name at this moment; he’s currently‌ in the Cup Series and is definitely ⁢someone to watch.”
