The New York Islanders have revamped their roster in pursuit of another Stanley Cup Playoff opportunity.
In order to strengthen their offense, they’ve signed Anthony Duclair (four-year deal starting July 1) and Kontinental Hockey League forward Maxim Tsyplakov (one-year contract on May 16). Last season, the Islanders averaged 2.99 goals per game, ranking 22nd in the NHL, and they managed to score only 12 goals in a five-game playoff series defeat against the Carolina Hurricanes during the Eastern Conference First Round.
