Cooper Quarterback cam O’Hara Commits to Western Kentucky
Cooper High School star quarterback cam O’Hara made a verbal commitment to Western Kentucky University,choosing the Hilltoppers over offers from several other universities,including Kentucky,Miami of Ohio,and Bowling Green.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior had a record-breaking year in 2024, setting school records for passing yards (3,617) and passing touchdowns (52) while leading his team to a 14-1 record and a runner-up finish in the Class 5A state championship game.
O’Hara also holds Northern Kentucky career records for passing yards (8,996) and passing touchdowns (120), becoming one of the state’s top college prospects at quarterback in the Class of 2026.He is on track to join an exclusive list of Kentucky high school quarterbacks who have surpassed 10,000 passing yards in their career.
Western Kentucky, a member of Conference USA and a consistent bowl contender, finished 8-6 in 2024, marking their sixth consecutive postseason appearance.

Kentucky Runner olivia Holbrook Shines at Multi-State Meet
Campbell County senior Olivia Holbrook captured gold in the invitational girls 800 run with a time of 2:11.16 at the Eastern Indoors track and field meet in Louisville. The meet featured high school athletes from multiple states.
Holbrook’s win marked her as the lone gold medalist from Northern Kentucky at the event. She ran the fastest time in the state this indoor season for the girls 800. Her impressive performance also included a seventh-place finish in the girls 1-mile event with a time of 5:00.22.
Holbrook’s success on the track continues a winning streak from her junior year. She secured victory in the Class 3A girls 800 run at the indoor state meet and took second place in the same event at the outdoor state meet.
Holbrook is also a formidable force in cross country. she earned a 10th-place finish at her final Class 3A girls state meet in November.
