Florida State Seminoles Add Top Defensive Back Prospect Jamari Howard
Florida State University’s football program, led by head coach Mike Norvell, continues to make waves in the recruiting world. In a significant move, the Seminoles secured the commitment of highly sought-after defensive back prospect Jamari Howard from Norland High School in South Florida.

Standing at an impressive 6’2″ and weighing 175 pounds, Howard is a standout talent on the field. Currently ranked 123rd nationally by 247Sports, he is considered the 11th best cornerback and the 18th best player in the state of Florida. Howard’s skills and potential have caught the attention of numerous top-tier college football programs.
Previously committed to Michigan State, Howard made the decision to back off from his pledge in mid-May. This opened the door for Florida State, who emerged as the frontrunner among the 30 other offers he received. The Seminoles beat out powerhouse programs such as the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, Oklahoma Sooners, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Texas A&M Aggies.
