This marks another important win for Tabilo, who previously upset Djokovic at the Rome Masters last year. Alcaraz will face Daniel Altmaier (No. 84) in the next round, who defeated Richard gasquet (No.164). gasquet, participating in his 12th Monte-carlo Masters, was honored with a video tribute, reflecting on his career highlights at the tournament, including his first ATP win in 2002 and a 2005 semifinal appearance.
Arthur Fils Advances Confidently
France’s Arthur Fils (No. 15) secured his spot in the next round with a swift 6-2, 6-4 victory over Italy’s Flavio Cobolli. Fils will face Andrey rublev (No. 9), who defeated fellow Frenchman Gaël monfils, in the next round.
Fils expressed confidence after his win, stating, “I am confident since Indian Wells.When there is confidence, we always play a little better,” he said in a press conference. “But Thursday against Rublev, it will not be easy.”
