Granville, Ohio – Four members of the Denison university womenS basketball team have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements both on the court adn in the classroom.
Goodman Secures Third Consecutive Academic all-District Nod
Senior guard Maddie Goodman, from Delaware, Ohio, earns her third consecutive selection to the Academic All-District® Team. Goodman led the Big Red in blocks with 18 and contributed 40 assists and 108 rebounds. Her career totals include 729 points, 87 steals, and 233 assists.
Sophomore Guards Recognized for Strong Seasons
Three sophomore guards also received the honor. Violet Mitchell (Downers Grove, Ill.) earned her first CSC academic All-District® Team selection. Mitchell finished the season third on the team in points (264),fourth in assists (32),and tied for third in offensive rebounds (36).She was also named to the 2024 Sara Lee Classic All-Tournament Team.
Adelyn Moore, from caro, Michigan, also earned a spot on the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District® Team. Moore had a breakout season, scoring in double figures in nine games. She led the team in three-pointers made with 40 and recorded 33 steals.
Abby Cooch (Clifton, Va.) rounds out the Denison selections. Cooch led the team in points (329), rebounds (178), steals (56), and free throw percentage (.844). She was named NCAC Athlete of the Week and earned first-team All-NCAC honors for the second consecutive year.
