Darderi prevailed 7-6(3), 7-6(4) in a two-hour, three-minute match on the red clay.
This victory marks DarderiS second ATP Tour crown, adding to his triumph at the Córdoba Open in Argentina last year, also an ATP 250 tournament on clay.
“The last months were very difficult for me, but I fought every day to get to this moment,” Darderi said following the final.”It is my second title. My frist time in Marrakech, it is indeed an unbelievable place. I am very happy and I have to thank all the Italians who are here and all the people who are watching. It is very nice to play with this atmosphere.”
Darderi alluded to a challenging start to the season. Prior to Marrakech, the Italian had a 2-8 record in 2025. However, he showed signs of resurgence the previous week, reaching the final of the ATP Challenger Tour event in Naples, Italy.
Throughout the week in Marrakech, darderi only dropped one set, in the second round against France’s Hugo Gaston. He defeated American Tristan Boyer 6-4, 6-4 in his opening match and Vit Kopriva in the quarterfinals.
