“I didn’t intend to be malicious or harmful,” Retzlaff stated on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Wednesday. “It was essentially my second Cup race ever and my debut at Daytona. Perhaps my youth and the feeling that I could win influenced me to make a poor decision, but I’m unsure.”
