NASCAR driver Cole Custer recently made ‌headlines with his notable appearance on WWE⁤ NXT,‍ coinciding ⁢with his active participation ‌in⁤ the ⁤NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs.

Unlike merely watching from⁣ the sidelines, Custer took an active role in ‍a tag team⁤ match alongside the duo known as Hank & Tank, going ‍up against On The Move. During the match, he seized the opportunity to wield his driver’s⁤ helmet to strike Bronco Nima from behind.

Reflecting on⁢ the experience, Custer stated:

“It’s been amazing. I’ve really enjoyed ⁢getting to know Hank and Tank, and everything they’ve‍ got going on.‍ Those guys are phenomenal, flying around the ring. Today’s learning‌ experience was absolutely ‌wild. It⁤ was fantastic to collaborate and to see ⁤them featured ‌on the ‌hood ‍this weekend.”

This event unfolded as Custer continues his pursuit in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. After ⁢clinching victory at Bristol ⁣Motor ⁣Speedway, Custer secured his second win of the 2024 season, earning the Xfinity Series regular-season title. Now, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver ⁤sets his sights on the upcoming race at ⁢Homestead-Miami Speedway, scheduled for Saturday.

In a press release from his team, Custer⁤ commented on the upcoming race:

“I believe we’re in a ⁢position where winning isn’t strictly necessary, but‌ anything can happen in these next two races. The No.⁤ 00 team has shown tremendous speed during‍ the playoffs, especially last‍ weekend when we led some laps. If we continue to manage ⁢our races effectively and perform well, we can advance ‍to the next round based solely on points.

“We ‍definitely have a chance to be in a⁢ strong points position for a shot at the Championship 4, but winning this weekend at Homestead⁢ would ease ⁤the nerves greatly leading ⁣into Martinsville. I was quite anxious last year ‌heading into that‍ race because of the uncertainty it brings.

“Winning before then is certainly a goal‍ to calm my mind, but it’s also important to maintain focus on⁢ the overall strategy and build a cushion in points. We nearly won at Homestead last year if it weren’t for that blown tire, so I ‌know⁢ we can achieve it ⁤again.”
