MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have appointed a new hitting coach, promoting Al LeBoeuf and Eric Theisen from their Triple-A affiliate, replacing Connor Dawson and Ozzie Timmons.
Matt Arnold, the Brewers’ president of baseball operations, announced the transitions on Monday.
LeBoeuf will serve as the lead hitting coach, while Theisen will join Milwaukee’s coaching staff in the role of hitting coach. Both were hitting coaches at Triple-A Nashville this past year.
For the last three seasons, Dawson and Timmons held the position of co-hitting coaches for the Brewers. Arnold confirmed that Dawson will remain part of the coaching staff next season, but Timmons will not return.
At 64, LeBoeuf has spent the last six years as a Triple-A hitting coach, having been with Nashville since 2021. He became part of the Brewers organization in 2010 after coaching in the minor leagues for the Philadelphia Phillies (1989-2000), New York Mets (2001-05), Kansas City Royals (2006), and Toronto Blue Jays (2007-09).

At 39, Theisen has worked within the Brewers organization for the last four seasons, starting as a hitting coach for Single-A Carolina in 2021.
