It’s easy to see why Brady Skjei, a former defenseman for the New York Rangers, is starting to go grey at just 30 years old. Despite acquiring Skjei along with big names like Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault during the free-agent period, the Predators currently hold a disappointing record of 0-5-0 at the start of the season. The only other team without a win is the struggling San Jose Sharks, who show two points due to two overtime losses.

With the Carolina Hurricanes, he has found the net once in five games and holds an unfortunate minus-six plus/minus rating through his first five games with Nashville.
“We need to move on from this and change our situation as quickly as we can,” Skjei stated last week. “It’s important not to dwell on this feeling.”
