Benfica to Host Ajax, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United in Inaugural World Sevens Football Tournament
Lisbon, Portugal – Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Portugal’s reigning five-time national women’s football champion, will host Ajax (Netherlands), Bayern Munich (Germany), and Manchester United (England) in the inaugural World Sevens Football (W7F) tournament in Estoril from May 21-23, 2025.
The competition, featuring a unique 7-on-7 format, will take place at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota. Benfica, currently ranked 12th in UEFA, will represent the host nation in the three-day event, with the final scheduled for May 23.
