BRNO, Czech Republic – Katrin Neudolt of austria has triumphed at the 2025 Deaf Badminton European Championships in Brno, successfully defending her title and claiming her third gold medal at the prestigious tournament. The badminton player from Mödling,Austria,previously won silver in 2014,followed by European Championship gold medals in 2018 and 2022.

„Der dritte EM-titel bedeutet mir sehr viel, da ich in den letzten 1,5 jahren mein Team und Training umgestellt habe. Diese Veränderungen tragen nun Früchte. Meine Ziele für 2025 sind: der sechste Staatsmeistertitel bei den Hörenden, die Qualifikation für die Europameisterschaften der Hörenden und eine starke Leistung bei den Deaflympics im November in Tokio, wo ich meine Silbermedaille von Brasilien 2021 in Gold verwandeln möchte. Bei der EM in Brünn konnte ich meine Stärken voll ausspielen und musste erst im Finale richtig gefordert werden. die positive Leistungsentwicklung zeigt sich darin, dass ich in allen Spielen bis auf das Finale nie mehr als 10 Punkte abgegeben habe.“

“The third European title means a lot to me, as I have changed my team and training in the last 1.5 years. These changes are now bearing fruit. My goals for 2025 are: the sixth national title among the hearing, qualification for the European Championships for the hearing, and a strong performance at the Deaflympics in November in Tokyo, where I want to turn my silver medal from Brazil 2021 into gold. At the European Championships in Brno, I was able to fully exploit my strengths and only had to really fight in the final.The positive growth in performance shows that I have never given up more than 10 points in all matches except the final.”
