Jaelen House had a standout performance in the Celtics’ final Summer League game, scoring 18 points and dishing out 9 assists. The Celtics’ 2024 draft picks, Baylor Scheierman and Anton Watson, also performed well, contributing 15 and 14 points respectively. The Celtics concluded their Summer League campaign with a record of 2-2.
It’s crucial for the Celtics to have Watson spend time in the film room with Al Horford, allowing the veteran big man to impart his knowledge. Watson will celebrate his 24th birthday before the regular season commences, and after five years at Gonzaga, he may be more prepared for the NBA than many of his fellow draftees.
When fully healthy, Boston boasts a solid core of nine players. Queta has demonstrated his ability to contribute quality minutes, while Xavier Tillman should feel more at ease after joining the team midseason last year. Lonnie Walker IV has shown that he can be a dependable scorer off the bench, provided he secures a roster spot.

To clarify, I don’t believe any of them will significantly influence the team. However, when discussing potential, my vote goes to Peterson. If Sam Hauser were to be sidelined, Peterson could step in and provide the much-needed sharpshooting off the bench. He had a solid 37 percent shooting rate from beyond the arc last year while playing in Maine.
Davison finds himself low on the guard depth chart, whereas Watson requires additional development time in Portland.
