We’re chasing that every week and I think that’s something that is at the forefront of our minds as we as we’re trying to game plan and win these games is how we can do that as well.”

Engstrand began his coaching career at San Diego State University under coach Jim Harbaugh. He spent 10 seasons with the Tritons, holding various roles including graduate assistant, running backs coach, quarterbacks coach, and offensive coordinator. After a stint as an offensive analyst at the University of Michigan, he served as offensive coordinator and running backs coach for the XFL’s DC Defenders before joining the Lions.
